Our Philosophy
The INK Learning Institute Co. is dedicated to the successful education of our children! We aim to make the discovery process a fun endeavor for both parents and children. We believe children learn best in environments that welcome their creativity and honor their inquisitive nature. The INK Learning Institute Co. believes parents play the most important role in educating children. Our faith-based learning community is built around parents as their children's first and most important teacher! We endeavor to join the process of learning with the joy of laughter. We truly believe you can enlighten your mind and have fun at the same time.
Location
The INK Learning Institute Co. faith-based hybrid homeschool and homeschool collective are located in Bexley, Ohio. The community is home to the lush metro parks, a public library, Capital University, local playgrounds, two community gardens, two ice cream shops as well as several eateries. Students will have the opportunity to spend time outdoors exploring and discovering as a part of their daily activities.
Students
All students registered for The INK Learning Community are homeschool students whose parents have submitted a Notice of Intent to homeschool their child. As such, we function in a supportive role to the family’s desire to home educate. Our students are 3-12 years of age, typically in preschool through 6th grades. We operate as a “one room schoolhouse” where students of all ages are engaged in the learning process together. Gleaning and sharing with one another as they discover and grow. There are two options for enrollment in the INK Learning Community for the 2022-2023 school year. Families can participate in the Hybrid Homeschool days where students are dropped off for class 2 to 4 days a week during the school year. Hybrid Homeschool days DO NOT require parents to serve as teachers.
The second option for participation in The INK Learning Community is to become a member of the Homeschool Collective. The Homeschool Collective requires one parent per family to teach 1, 2, 3, or 4 days a week for the entire school year. Parents should prayerfully consider the time commitment to the Homeschool Collective before registering their family for participation in this option. Homeschool Collective families participate + pay a flat tuition fee for the year based on the number of days the parent teaches. For example: a parent teaches one day a week, this entitles all the children in the family to participate in one day of classes + activities at the Homeschool Collective.

Curriculum
Students receive a well-rounded educational experience at INK Learning Community. We utilize group activities, structured learning material and independent creative time. We engage in academic core subjects via The Easy Peasy All In One Homeschool and Genesis curriculum by Lee Giles. Parents have the option of a hybrid learning model that incorporates online and offline work, a fully online learning model or a more traditional book and workbook model. Student needs and parent desires for their child’s education are at the forefront of each child entrusted to our faith-based learning community.
Grade levels are used loosely at INK. The curriculum focuses on levels that can be interchanged as needed. Students may be at level 3 for one subject and level 2 for another. It is common for students to vary across the levels depending on subject matter.
Parents may purchase the grade level materials for their children to use while at our Homeschool Collective. Parent Guides for Math and Language Arts are available for purchase, but not required for participation. The Easy Peasy and Genesis curriculum have links to purchase the books via Amazon.

Our Tenets of Faith
We start each day with Bible and Prayer. We focus our teachings to a core set of beliefs that govern our daily work with our students.
We believe:
1. The Bible is the inspired word of God (I Thessalonians 2:13, II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21)
2. In the Holy Trinity-God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit (I John 5:7)
3. Man is created by God in the image of God (Genesis 1:27)
4. The only way to Heaven is through Acceptance of our Savior, our Lord, Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-10)
5. In the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues (Acts 2:1-4)
6. The Lord calls us to continually practice lives of holiness not conforming to the worlds ways (1 Peter 1:13-25, Romans 12:1-2, James 1:27)
7. In Divine Healing from the Lord for every believer ((Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, Mark 16:18, James 5:14-16, I Peter 2:24)
8. In the death, resurrection and return of the Lord (Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 20:6)
9. Heaven and hell are real. Heaven is the eternal reward of the believer and hell is the eternal consequence for the unbeliever. ( (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20)
