Hi!  So glad you're here.  How do I describe myself?   I am a lover of God, the wife of Jesse, an entrepreneur, the mother of 5 growing boys and two fur babies!.  Okay, let me say, this work has been a labor of love for me.  School has always been a source of joy for me.   I have always wanted to be a teacher.  So years later, I began volunteering in my eldest son's classroom and saw that there were several children who were not prepared for school.  I decided to help as many other families prepare their children as I could. 

 

My academic back story...

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oberlin College.  My Master of Science in Social Administration was earned from Case Western Reserve University's Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.  

 

With many years of experience working as a therapist with children, youth, families, and working in the field of higher education; I have learned that I am a true lover of the learning and discovery process.  While I am still a practicing therapist, getting married, and starting a family lead me to another passion in my life...Homeschooling!

We began our homeschooling journey 8 years ago with our now 10-year-old.  Homeschooling was such a rewarding experience that I wanted to help other families educate their children.  The INK Learning Institute Co. was started in December 2016.  I began tutoring (in-person and online) and teaching English online. 

 

A whole new world opened up during my first years as an online tutor and teacher.  I worked with children and adults not only in the US but also in China.  Teaching online has been a wonderful experience.  I have found that you may not be in the same geographical location, but you still have the opportunity to develop a student-teacher relationship and engage in the educational discovery process.  I look forward to helping many more students achieve their educational goals!  :)
